There it is ... gone!

Well, it's virtually certain that we won't be getting the house. Boohoo. The one that had everything that we were looking for, and then some. :(

We had until the 9th to firm up the offer, but we haven't had any acceptable offers on our house, and it's not likely that we'll get a firm offer in the next several days (especially since we have no new showings scheduled or on the radar), so we told our agent that it was not to be.

We are at peace with this outcome. Actually, it's a bit of a stress reliever. We were worried that we might end up carrying two houses, so now we have decided to sell our place first, then search for "our" house. Even if that means living in an apartment for a short time.
