Anyone want any plums?

We finally have the house! We picked up the keys yesterday at about 4:45. The deal is done. Now, we just need to move in.

First things first, though. Brother Rob is planning to come to town to help out with laying some laminate flooring in the family room and den. Thanks to Jonathon, too, for his assistance. Next week a painter will be coming in to paint 3 bedrooms and the living room. I tell ya, after painting the rooms in our previous house, Marlene and I are looking forward to having someone else do it for us.

Now, you may be wondering "What about the plums?". We have some fruit trees in the backyard, including a plum tree with lots of ripe and ready to eat plums. Marlene sampled them yesterday.

Our move in date is on Saturday the 13th. If all goes according to schedule, the storage containers will be dropped off late on Thursday, so Marlene and I will take care of emptying the little things on Friday, but will need some help on Saturday with the bigger things. If anyone is free and willing to help on Saturday the 13th, we appreciate the assistance. We plan to have it all out of the containers and plunked somewhere in the house by 2:00pm at the very latest.
